A special ministry at First Baptist Church is the Royal Oaks Ministry. On the 1st Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m., members of FBC visit seniors at Royal Oaks Convalescent Hospital. Many of the folks at this residence have few, if any, visitors. Their faces brighten as they are greeted and participate in the heartfelt music and Bible reading. The seniors are taught simple, but encouraging verses and their spirits are refreshed with a sermon given by one of the church members. The time together is closed in prayer.
